Guest Designer – Trudy Sjolander

I am excited to showcase the work of Trudy Sjolander today! She happens to be one of the nicest people you will ever meet in blog land and she's an extremely dedicated to crafting. She designs for Really Reasonable Ribbon, Discount Cardstock, Clear Dollar Stamps, and Inky Antics.

Not only is she dedicated, but Trudy is incredibly accomplishe and her resume is impressive. Her work appears on the cover of CardMaker magazine September/October issue, and four other cards are inside. See that tiny postage stamp sized card on the cover, too? Yup – that's also hers. CardMaker also featured Trudy's work with a 2-page interview! Her shabby chic style appeals to millions of crafters and I think she's adorable.

Today she's using PSA Essentials Peel & Stick stamps. She choose the Rosettas & Smirk "Friends are Forever" sentiment for this quilt wall hanging. She stamped the Rosettas on wheat hopsack textured cardstock with VersaMark then used white embossing powder and heat set it. She then scored between the rosettes, sponged brown around the edges, then also sponged some in the centers of the rosettes. She took a dry paper towel to wipe off the excess ink from the embossing. The sentiment was done with brown ink and clear embossing powder.

Look at the detail here. And the ribbon, who ties ribbon that perfectly? Trudy does.

This next card uses PSA Rosettas as well. She used green ink and clear powder on the card base.  The flowers were stamped in yellow, the other in teal with clear powder. Then she colored them in with Copic markers, cut them out, and inked the edges with brown ink.

Rosettas are such a fantastic stamp set, one of my true favorites.

Do you like the stamps you see? You can buy the PSA Rosetta set, Smirk set, or any of our Peel & Stick stamp collections for 25% off at The Polka Dot Parlor!  Anyone who purchases a custom stamp will also get a free alignment tool ($10 value!) So what are you waiting for? Head on over to the Polka Dot Parlor for this incredible discount! Hurry, it ends on 10/1.
